Job Description: AWS Solutions Architect – Data & AI

Experience: 8–12 Years

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced AWS Solutions Architect with strong hands-on engineering capabilities across Data, AI/ML, and cloud platforms. This is a dual-mode role requiring the ability to design scalable enterprise solutions, write code, build and deliver production-ready data/AI products, and operate at an architecture level.
You will work closely with client-side Enterprise Architects, technology leaders, cybersecurity, legal, and business stakeholders, contributing to architectural documentation, governance processes, solution reviews, and technical decision-making. The role requires strong technical depth, architectural thinking, and exceptional communication skills to engage confidently with US-based enterprise stakeholders.

Key Responsibilites:
  • Solution Architecture: Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS architectures for enterprise Data and AI/ML solutions.
  • Hands-on Engineering: Develop, validate, and deliver production-ready data pipelines, cloud components, and AI/ML solutions.
  • AWS Data & AI: Work with services such as Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Glue, Redshift, and Lake Formation.
  • Architecture Governance: Prepare architecture documents, solution designs, technical assessments, and decision records; support architecture reviews and governance approvals.
  • Enterprise Collaboration: Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, Legal, and engineering teams to navigate enterprise standards, risk, compliance, and technology approval processes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Present technical solutions, recommendations, risks, and trade-offs to directors, managing directors, and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Technical Leadership: Guide developers and tech leads, evaluate solution approaches, review designs and code, and drive engineering best practices.
  • Documentation & Communication: Translate complex technical concepts into clear, structured documentation and executive-ready presentations.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • 8–12 years of experience in cloud engineering, solution architecture, or technical leadership, with substantial hands-on experience in AWS.
  • Strong experience delivering enterprise-grade Data Engineering and AI/ML solutions.
  • Practical experience with AWS services, including:
    • Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker
    • AWS Glue and Amazon Redshift
    • AWS Lake Formation
    • Relevant AWS security, networking, IAM, and data governance capabilities.
  • Strong programming and engineering skills, with the ability to develop, troubleshoot, and deliver production-grade solutions.
  • Experience creating architecture diagrams, solution design documents, technical assessments, and governance artefacts.
  • Experience working directly with Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, Legal, Risk, or Compliance teams.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical topics to senior business and technology stakeholders.
  • Excellent spoken and written English, executive presence, and confidence engaging with US-based stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • A hands-on architect or senior technical lead who can move seamlessly between coding, solution design, architecture discussions, and stakeholder presentations.
  • Someone comfortable representing the technical perspective in discussions with senior, non-technical stakeholders.
  • A strong problem-solver who can balance enterprise architecture standards with practical delivery requirements.

Who Should Not Apply
  • Purely hands-off architects without recent hands-on engineering experience.
  • Developers who lack solution design, architecture documentation, and enterprise stakeholder exposure.
  • Candidates who struggle to communicate technical concepts confidently to senior US-based audiences.

Success in this role: The ability to combine hands-on Data & AI delivery, architectural judgement, enterprise governance, and executive-level communication to move complex technology initiatives forward.
